Watercolour practice 1

Reflection 2 26th October 2018

The colour looks a bit faded in this photo, the first one is nearer the right colour.

I wanted to practice painting water colour faces

I want to improve my water colour techniques.

I watched some YouTube videos of people doing water colour faces to get some ideas.

I found painting the hair challenging, but I was happy with the result, in the online photograph that I copied, the man’s hair was lit up by a blue light and I think I achieved that effect quite well.

I would like to improve my shading techniques in water colours and to improve my neatness.

But overall I am happy with the picture and consider it finished when I have cut the picture to size.

After I asked the participants to try out drawing, I began my explanation of how I draw an eye.  My aim was to pass on the skill that I had previously learned and to encourage their own creativity by encouraging each participant individually to build on their own skills and not just cop...
